(Please click trip code to book)
Day 1: We start out together with
our team of Black Hmong porters from SaPa around 9.00 am and head for
the Black Hmong village of Sin Chai in the bottom of the valley. Soon
thereafter the path begins to ascend and we will walk for about three
hours before our cook serves a well prepared lunch in the forest. We
continue our climb and around 4.30 pm we arrive at our campsite at approximately
2500 m. The tents are raised for your comfort and the cook is already
busy preparing a well deserved dinner. It is time to enjoy the fresh
air and the nocturnal sounds of nature!
Day
2: Today is summit day, so after an early breakfast we leave
our base camp around 7.00 am and start climbing upwards. Around noon
we can put our hands on the marker and quietly enjoy the spectacular
view towards Laos and China, while having our lunch and resting our
feet! The duration of our stay at the summit depends on the weather
conditions, time for a good long break, before we trek down to our base
camp at 2700 m.
Day 3: We enjoy our morning-coffee
and the sounds of nature, while the porters take down the camp and move
ahead downs to other side of the mountain. At around 2400 m the rainforest
gradually gives way to huge, succulent bamboo, and now have a magnificent
view down through the long Muong Khoa valley, at an altitude of 2400
m, the porters put up our camp for overnights. There is a fine view
from here, and this will be our base camp.
Day 4: As usual, we pack our Tents
ready for new day. Hiking to the village of the Black H’mong tribe
which named Seo Mi Ty. After the first 3 nights, on this day we officially
meet the hill tribe in this small village. People are curious to strangers,
landscape is fantastic, the life is wild. We spend one more night in
tents nearby a romantic river.
Day
5: After breakfast we start the adventure of the day. The trekking
is beautiful and easy seasoned by the crossing of two rivers by both
a primitive aerial ropeway and an old suspension bridge. We plan to
spend the night in Ta Trung Ho, which is inhabited by the Red Dao minority.
Both the valley and the village received its first foreign visitors
in 1996 in connection with a Topas/ Phu Thinh special project in the
area.
Day 6: We are now at the fringe of
the rain forest by the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. With 3143 m the
highest mountain in Vietnam - Fan Si Pan - is located in this mountain
range. Crossing a mountain pass in the altitude of 1180 m. we descend
to Ban Ho which is inhabited by the Tay Hill tribe. We expect to stay
overnight in a local stilt house.
Day 7: Today we relax and experience
the every day life in Ban Ho, if it is possible to enjoy a refreshing
swim in the river nearby the village at the time the cooks will prepare
the lunch and we have the lunch on the bank of the Lave’s river.
We leave Ban Ho after lunch and ascend to Su Pan, where Russian jeeps
are awaiting us. The jeeps will drive us back to Sa Pa. and we will
reach SaPa again in the afternoon in time for a good evening meal, a
hot shower, a cold drink, and other modern conveniences.
